הַקָּפָה
הַקָּפָהf. (נָקַף II) 1) surrounding, going round. Yoma 59a ה׳ ברגל the sprinkling was done in walking around; ה׳ ביד by circular movements of the hand. Pesik. R. s. 41 הַקָּפַת המזבח going around the altar in procession with the Lulab; a. e. 2) (ref. to Lev. 19:27) shaving the hair of the head all around. Naz.29a ועבידה׳ and he (the Nazir) may shave Ib. הַקָּפַת כל הראש shaving the entire head, opp. to ה׳ פאה shaving the ends, v. פֵּאָה. Y.Sot.II, beg.17d ה׳ נזירות the shaving required by Nazir laws (Num. 6:18); a. e. 3) growth of hair around a limb. Y.Yeb.X, end, 11c; Snh.68b. 4) debts for merchandise payable at certain seasons (cmp. תְּקוּפָה). Shebi. X, 1; Tosef. ib. VIII, 3 הקפת חנותוכ׳ shop-debts are not subject to the law of limitation in the Sabbatical year.Pl. הַקָּפוֹת. Gen. R. s. 41 he came back לפרוע הַקָּפוֹתָיו to pay his debts; Yalk. ib. 69.
